STEA takes responsibility for its environment by making sure every part of the wooden packaging cycle is well thought through, optimized and utilized to its full potential. The pallets are sorted, repaired and reconditioned in accordance with bureau VERITAS requirements and put back on to the market to further fulfill its purpose as the most common load bearing alternative.
When a pallet is no longer considered repairable it is sent to the environmental department at STEA. The nails are removed and the wood is chipped in preparation for the production of e.g. Briquette or Dry Chips.
